Mayor Karl Dean would like to invite you and your neighbors out to the Antioch Community Center located at 5023 Blue Hole Road to a FREE training session for his 5K Challenge. Come out and join Mayor Dean this Saturday, October 29th, at 9am for training session led by our training partner Fleet Feet Sports.

There will be a free shoe giveaway courtesy of United Healthcare at this event. The ONLY requirement to enter the drawing is to be registered and bring a printed copy of your training log.

The “Mayor’s Challenge” is a call-to-action for all Nashvillians to improve upon the health of our city through their participation in the “Mayor’s Challenge” 5K Walk/Run. The initiative will consist of a free, semiweekly training program from Tuesday, September 10 through Tuesday, November 8. The “Mayor’s Challenge” will drive participation through a “Step Up to the Challenge” Community Competition that will encourage registrants to log mileage, events attended and independent exercise time. The series will conclude on Sunday, November 13 with the “Mayor’s Challenge” 5K Walk/Run and Finale Celebration in Downtown Nashville.

The detailed training schedule is available online at www.mayorschallenge5K.com or on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/#!/mayorschallenge5k
